Student Achievement
Monitoring Student Success at Texas State
Texas State University is dedicated to facilitating the achievement and success of all of its students and publicly states so in Goal 1 of its 2017-2023 University Plan – “Promote the success of all students.” To demonstrate student success, the university monitors a variety of enrollment and success performance measures and establishes intended levels of performance, or targets. Enrollment measures include not only enrollment levels, but also student credit hours generated and affordability as indicated by the cost of tuition and fees. Student success measures include course completion, retention, and graduation rates; number of degrees awarded; persistence and job placement information.
